Notes

L’Esprit d’équipe won her class in the 1985/86 Whitbread Round the World Race skippered by Lionel Péan. Formerly known as 33 Export and Esprit de Liberté, she was built in 1981 and designed by the architect Philippe Briand.

The boat underwent a full refit in 2021-2022 and participated in the 2023-2024 Ocean Globe Race around the world. The mast, standing and running rigging, and sails were all completely replaced in 2022. The auxiliary power unit including engine, prop shaft, propeller, and stuffing box were completely replaced in 2022. In addition, the electrical The 12/24V system was completely redone.

A full survey out of the water has been conducted in 2024 after the race and can be viewed upon request. L'esprit d'équipe is currently doing a transatlantic and can be viewed in Belem, Brazil in mid-November or in Frossay, France in mid/late December.
